Margaret River wines have a style more European than counterparts across Australia, and at Cape Landing we strive to honour the terroir of our land and region by creating the finest wine we can.
2018 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Based on physiologically ripe fruit with textured tannins and high-level perfumes, our first Cabernet Sauvignon was bottled in March 2019 for release in 2020. The medium bodied tannin density and high-level fragrances make this style well suited to full flavoured foods and flame grilled proteins.
“Internationally, Margaret River is probably most famous as one of the surprisingly few places in the world where the Cabernet Sauvignon grape makes great, subtle wine.” – Jancis Robinson.
Ruby red with garnet flecks.
Violets, glazed cherries, graphite and subtle hints of cedar and freshly roasted coffee beans.
A bright and focused entry of primary red fruits and cassis guided by pristine fruit tannin and drive. An undercurrent of wet slate and maraschino cherries through the palate delivers a finish both poised and lingering.
